Below is the podcast 'Are We There Yet?' by This American Life and follows the current refugee crisis in Greece. Most surrounding countries have closed their borders meaning many of the people fleeing to safety now find themselves at a dead end in Greece. There are approximately 57000 refugees and asylum seekers living in official and unofficial camps across the Greece. Camps have been set up in a range of different places, some which you may not expect, including, a baseball stadium, a psychiatric hospital and a highway rest stop. The podcast below includes interviews with people living in the camps conditions. It is a first-hand account of the crisis and shows both and the positives and negatives of living such a life.
